The Biggest Loser Finale

I love the Biggest Loser.  This is the first time in my life I watched a tv show every week for the entire season.  Even the week I had the baby, I didn't miss my Biggest Loser!  So I watched the Finale tonight and seeing everyone made me so happy.  I love these people!!!  Here they are at the start:

I must say that now they look AWESOME!  It's funny how TV show people sort of become your friends.  I'll catch myself thinking about someone on the show and in my head or to Steve I call them by their first name as if they were my neighbor or something.  I'm so proud of my new "friends" :)  A few of my favorites are:
Sunny
(This isn't even the picture from the finale.  She looks super good.  She has spunk, I wanted her to win.)

Vinny
(I love this guy!  He looks amazing and how cute...he got engaged)

Becky
(She's my hero.  I loved her attitude and I think she looks AWESOME!)

I'm realizing that I want to put everyone on here.  I loved them all!  But here are the 3 finalist:

Antone, John, Ramon

I think it's absolutely amazing!  Everyone looks great and I can't wait for next season :)  It starts January 3rd for anyone interested.

Steve has decided that he wanted to get really big just so he can be on this show.  So it's my job to fatten him up.  Can any of you imagine Steve at 450 lbs????

Then he suggested we just get REALLY fit and become the next trainers!  Lifetime goal--here we go!

New Christmas Treat

I made these treats for our neighbors for Christmas.  I thought it looked easy and fun to make.  They turned out DELICIOUS!  It might just have to be a Christmas tradition :)

Note: SUPER NOT HEALTHY recipe, but really yummy.
You can find the recipe here

Ummm, oops.

So there's really not much counter room in our kitchen.  I have to use the stove a lot of times to temporarily store things.  Well, this here tupperware belongs to our friends and I was keeping it right there on the stove.  Now I was very careful not to use that particular unit.  Well little did I know the OVEN makes the stove hot enough to melt a plastic container.  I didn't even notice it until the morning after we used the oven.  So I've learned my lesson.

I'm at a loss for how to clean this up.  The plastic is completely hard and just wrapped around it.  I can't really turn the stove on and melt it off, can I?  Any suggestions for fixing this?

I'm catching up to the rest of the world

Believe it or not, I finally finished the first Harry Potter book! It has taken me YEARS to start it, but I gave in and now I can be a true Harry Potter fan.

My brothers will be so proud.

I even had a dream about Harry Potter last night.

Santa, Sleeping, and Smiling

I'm sorry if it drives anyone crazy if all our posts are on the subject of baby...I just can't help it :)  Here are some of the latest photos:

SANTA!

We had our ward Christmas party and it was so much fun!  Of course Santa was there :)

Sleeping:

I know sleeping pictures are probably only cute for the mom and dad, but....here they are :)  He always sleeps with his arms up.  He sprawls out as much as he can.  It's kind of funny to swaddle him because you can hear him grunting and fighting with all his strength to get his arms out of it.

We had a great visit from Mel.  She was awesome and Nate loved her.

Smiling :)

Cute kid is figuring out the whole grinning thing.  It's becoming more than just the natural reflex from digestion!   Steve can get him to grin almost all the time. I've gotten him a few times.

He was totally smiling while taking these pictures for Grandpa, we just struggled to catch it on the camera :)
This one is also for Mel.  Although the camera didn't catch it...This kid smiled so big once we got that thing out of his nose.  Sorry if this grosses you out...but Mel is my witness, he was miserable and then happier than ever once we sucked his nose clear :)

Schedule of meds

So just as a quick update, Nate was readmitted to the hospital last Thursday.  His incision was super red and they thought it was infected.  So, Steve and I got to spend another night on hospital recliners :)  They told us at first we'd probably be there till Sunday as he got antibiotics through the IV.  But Friday morning the surgeon (I love him) came in and said it was fine.  So we got to go home Friday afternoon.  But now Nate gets to take 2 antibiotics on top of the 2 meds for his heart.  So here is the new schedule (good thing it only lasts for a week):

6am---Cephalexin
10am--Digoxin, Furosemide
12pm--Cephalexin
2pm---Clindomycin
6pm---Cephalexin, Clindomycin
10pm--Digoxin, Furosemide, Clindomycin
12am--Cephalexin

So, I have many alarm clocks going off throughout the day and night because there is NO way I could remember all of this.  What would we do without our electronics? But anyways, Nate is doing well and his incision looks awesome.  As all the nurses and docs say, "Oh his scar is Beautiful!"  :)
